NY, across LA

traveling cities like you know the taste of icecream because of trying.
in 2006 summer, i have ah chance to visit in NY for month and LA for a week.
there are famouse representatives of USA, but the charactor is different as they are far from each other.
;NY is east side and LA is west side of USA. so i was intriguing to see their own colour as a tourist.

LA's basic tranportation is a car. everybody takes a highway to go anywhere. so if i didn't rent a car, only thing i spend a time is to watch TV.
on the contrary, NY is easy to walk around city. they run subway and bus corner to corner.

when i arrived NY, i'm so disgusted, because of weather. it seems to be like weather of seoul, but more humid and has weird smell.
i have to take a shower after just going to supermarket apart from some blocks away, because of the smell.
it's useless to feel the weather as a tourist. NY is not natural space even though the central park.
but in LA, the beautiful dry sunshine easy to tanning the skin. NY is near the national mountain park, and some of beaches, i enjoyed the atmosphere of nature.

but they both has cultural places. in LA there is paul getty museum and many different galleries like cafrican craft gallery. and is near to hollywood signboard,and disneyland,universal studio.
NY has also tones of attractive galleries and shops and museum for example, withney meuseum,MOMA,chelsea and soho area,timesquare.

people have various nationality in NY, you know,it's NY. so to distinguish a person as tourist by face is useless. in LA, it's like a town of certain countries, probably either mexico or spain..and korea. so their waiters do speak korean very well. it's hard to see white people.

yes, i would say NY is gray colour like a old art deco building but hide rainbow colour inside so we have, the streets that are stinky, and their main charactor of city is rat.
so it's feel like adventure to find something for fun
on the otherhand, LA is light lemon colour like quiet white sunshine and clean reflected streets sand of beach, green wide leaf trees along the streets, and take a rest wearing a big hat.
it's time to taste of city.
